SECTION 1: The Internet Movie Database
A brief guide to The Internet Movie Database which provides valuable advice on how to access useful articles on this site and make good use of the titles suggested in the Filmographies which appear under each chapter heading in Section 2.
SECTION 2: Further Reading & Study; Website Links; Filmographies
This section mirrors the chapter structure of the book and often presents information about topics in the same order as they appear in the text.
Under each chapter heading you will find:
- List of books and articles for further reading. Most of the articles and many excerpts from the books have links which will enable you to access information in condensed form very rapidly;
- Information about current debates which are taking place about many institutions and policy issues;
- Links to the websites listed at the end of each chapter;
- Filmographies — lists of films about topics related to the subject of the chapter.
SECTION 3: Testing & Evaluation
This section is divided into two parts.
Part 1 contains information designed to assist course administrators in choosing and setting various types of assessment artefacts and in locating available software for setting and marking computerized tests. Feedback is particularly welcome on this part to enable it to be expanded and improved in future revisions.
Part 2 contains information designed to assist students to maximize their grades through the way in which they respond to assessments of various kinds.
